Our Editorial Mission

LiposuctionTurkey.us exists to give patients genuinely useful, evidence-based information about liposuction — with no commercial agenda distorting the picture. Every editorial decision is made in the interest of the reader, not the interest of any clinic, manufacturer, or commercial partner.

How Content Is Created

Articles are commissioned and written by experienced health writers and researchers with specialist knowledge in plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures, and medical tourism. Our writers are briefed to:

  • Answer the specific question a patient would actually ask, not the question that is easiest to answer.
  • Lead with the most important information — key facts and direct answers — before supporting detail.
  • Quantify risk and outcome claims with data wherever peer-reviewed evidence exists.
  • Acknowledge uncertainty honestly: where evidence is limited or mixed, we say so.
  • Avoid promotional language, unrealistic outcome descriptions, or pressure tactics of any kind.

Medical Review Process

All articles containing clinical claims — including information about surgical techniques, complication rates, anaesthesia, candidacy, recovery, and post-operative care — undergo review by a qualified medical professional before publication.

Who reviews?

Our medical reviewers are board-certified in plastic surgery or a directly related specialty. Reviewer credentials are verified before engagement. Reviewers are not employed by or affiliated with any clinic featured on this site.

What reviewers check

  • Factual accuracy of clinical claims against current peer-reviewed literature.
  • Whether statistics and data are correctly cited and up to date.
  • Whether information about risks and complications is complete and balanced — not minimised.
  • Whether the content is consistent with current clinical guidelines from bodies such as ASPS, BAPRAS, and ISAPS.

What reviewers do not do

Medical reviewers provide factual oversight — they do not endorse the site commercially, endorse any clinic or surgeon, or assume clinical responsibility for any reader's surgical decision. Editorial decisions about structure, tone, and scope remain with our editorial team.

Sourcing Standards

We apply a hierarchy of evidence when citing sources:

  1. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses (Cochrane, PubMed)
  2. Randomised controlled trials
  3. Prospective cohort studies and large case series
  4. Clinical guidelines from ASPS, BAPRAS, ISAPS, NHS, and equivalents
  5. Expert consensus statements from recognised professional bodies
  6. Patient information from established health organisations (NHS, Mayo Clinic)

We do not cite press releases, manufacturer-sponsored studies without independent corroboration, or clinic-produced promotional materials as primary sources. Anecdotal patient testimonials are illustrative only and never presented as evidence of typical outcomes.

Content Review & Update Policy

Medical knowledge evolves. Our update policy is:

  • Clinical articles are reviewed for accuracy at least every 12 months, or sooner if significant new evidence, guidelines, or safety information emerges.
  • Each article displays the date it was last reviewed. This is a review date, not a publication date — content that passes review without changes retains the review date even if the text is unchanged.
  • When we make substantive changes to an article, we update the review date and note the nature of the change at the bottom of the article.
  • Cost and market data (e.g., procedure prices by country) are reviewed quarterly given their time-sensitivity.

Corrections Policy

We take accuracy seriously. If you believe content on this site contains a factual error:

  • Email info@liposuctionturkey.us with the subject line "Correction Request".
  • Include the URL of the article, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and a link to peer-reviewed evidence supporting the correction where available.
  • We will assess the claim, consult our medical reviewers where appropriate, and respond within 14 days.
  • If a material correction is made, we will note the correction at the bottom of the article with the date it was applied.

Editorial Independence from Commercial Partners

Our commercial model is described fully in How We Make Money. The key principle: no commercial relationship influences editorial content. Our editorial team operates independently of any commercial or business function. Clinics, manufacturers, and commercial partners cannot pay for editorial coverage, positive assessments, or favourable rankings.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Writers, editors, and medical reviewers disclose any potential conflicts of interest relevant to content they produce or review. Where a conflict exists, a different reviewer or writer is assigned. We do not accept gifted procedures, sponsored trips, or other benefits from surgical providers.
